UPDATE: I sent out the invites yesterday. Thanks to everyone who left a comment.
In Part 1, I described my interview with Avi Muchnick of the Aviary team. I also described the features in Aviary now as well as some stuff that is coming in the future. Well, to be honest, talking about it is just not enough. I t decided to do a walk through of both Phoenix and Peacock so everyone can see the power of these Flex based applications.
Aviary Invites
I have four invites to give away for Aviary. If you would like one, leave a comment. On Monday, I will drop the comment emails into a database and select four people at random. So leave a comment if you want an invite!

Facebook Application Development
looks cool, but can it really be as responsive as a desktop app?
This looks incredible, I can't wait to take it for a spin. If possible, please send me an invite :)
Thanks!
Dan
It's cool to see people putting new technologies like Flex to use in this way.
This seems like something that's been waiting to happen for a long time. I know that I, for one, am on the edge of my seat!
The idea of making use of effects like Yahoo Pipes is pretty cool, but is there a way to group those piped effects? Because on more complicated image it might be a little messy -- pipes and boxes all around the image..
It looks very cool, I like it.If it is possible, please send me an invite. Thanks a lot.
Looks interesting - would be very cool if this had (has?) AIR support - I've spent a lot of time on planes lately that would give something fun to play with offline....
Hi there,
I'm pretty convinced by Buzzword and I'm looking forward to testing Aviary!
I wonder if they are legal issues with some elements of Phoenix, I mean some icons or concepts are similar to Photoshop...
Best regards.
Looks amazing. Would love an invite!
Is there any invites to Aviary ? :)
This seems so cool. I can definitely see this applying not only editors but also to online games too! Looking so good. I would love to have an invite please.
best,
ilteris
very promising! I am very glad for your work here - esp the cairngorm explanations/help. I live/work in Austin but am flying to Atlanta next week for a company's site redesign - and am going to try to check out gatech. ~matt
Wow it looks very promising ! Would love to test this too :)
Aviary sounds interesting not only for end users but also other flash/flex developers. Would be great if I get an invite ;-)

I have to admit this is one of the app suites that really kick significant interest in our readers so for the sake of their curiosity we would like to be able to test it
Hi David,
Always enjoy reading your blog, especially the AIR tips.
I’d be happy to receive a invite for Avairy.
Cheers,
Sid
it would be really nice put our hands on this incredible software
I would love to get my hands on this.
If they are still available, I'd love an invite to Aviary.
On a side note, you did a brilliant series on Cairngorm tutorials. You mention a 6th tutorial. Any idea when that might be available?
It's an amazing piece of software !
I came over from Techsmith's website since David's screencast was featured. I will spread the word and I'm up for an invite if there are additional ones. This would be a great tool for my small business clients!
I was wondering if there were any invites left? If there are, I would love to have one. My email is alexbttf(at)gmail(dot)com
Amazing ! . Any invites left?
This online applications suite is incredible, it is going to revolutionize the web forever! :)
Could I please have an invite (if one is available) to be part of that revolution?

Hi,
All the above workarounds work fine when u have access to the html wrapper.
I have a slightly different problem, i've made a widget using flex and embedded it in facebook, i need to popout a window from that widget, if the users browser has a popupblocker then my popup would never popout and also the widget would never know that.
Since i dont have access to the facebook html page in which i embed my widget i can use window.open.
thanks

Hi all
First of all, I wish to say that these are the greatest articles I've came across in a long time. seriously, great work.
Having said that, I missing the part of the jBoss deployment. as I read I see that it's not going to be discussed on the next installment, and I don't remember having read that on the previous ones.
am I missing something?
Many thanks and keep up the good work!
