It was recently announced the the next 360|Flex will be held back in sunny San Jose, CA (8.18-8.20), where it all started. If you haven't checked out one of these conferences yet, you're missing out. Here's the low-down... Tom Ortega and John Wilker are the hosts of the 360 conferences. 360|Flex conferences are the only 3-day, community-focused, all Flex conferences I know about, and I'm pretty sure they're the only show in town when it comes to an all Flex conference. John and Tom are not in this for the money (because I don't think they make any), they're in it for what it does for the community... and it shows.

As part of the last 360|Flex in Atlanta an API contest was kicked off. Prizes will be awarded shortly for the winners that participated in the API contest for Ribbit, eBay, and Degrafa. At 360|Flex Seattle (August 2007) the guys hosted a Flex Charity Code Jam. It's pretty clear that 360|Flex isn't just about the Flex community. Tom and John are really great about being socially minded and giving back to the global community. They're also very transparent about 360|Conferences: Atlanta $$$ breakdown.

So why go on and on about how great these conferences are? Because they are one of the best places to get involved in the Flex community while learning a lot about Flex. John and Tom always attract some of the top speakers in the industry (for some reason they let me speak too), and they go out of their way to make these events enjoyable for everyone. I'll be speaking in San Jose on Merapi and our Learning Flex from Scratch series here on InsideRIA.

If you have any questions about 360|Flex San Jose feel free to comment here, contact me directly, or Tom or John via www.360conferences.com.

See you in San Jose!

Thanks for the kind words, Adam. John and I are very excited to head back to the place that started it all. It's going to be a great homecoming party!

I hear they only have 400 slots maximum for the San Jose show. I have a feeling these are going to go fast. My company contacted them to reserve our spots today.
