Sometimes it can be difficult to find quality resources to learn about all the functionality you need to know to build your rich internet application. Luckily, Adobe puts a great deal of effort into providing plenty of learning material for the community.
Last week, Adobe had an entire week of live seminars with sessions every hour of every day. Each of the sessions have been recorded and are available at adobe.com/go/ondemand. There's almost too many sessions to view but you can use the filter drop down on the right to get access to the topic that you're most interested in. For Adobe AIR-specific presentations, check out this link. You'll need to set up an account with the Adobe web site, if you haven't already.
Specific sessions that might be of interest include:
- Bringing Ajax Applications to the Desktop with Adobe AIR
- Building AIR Applications with Flash CS3
- Adobe AIR Local Data Storage Options
- AIR Native Drag and Drop
Another place to look for articles is the Adobe AIR Developer Center.

Great post Jonathan! As a beginning Flex developer, I can certainly appreciate the difficulty in finding quality resources for study. That being said, as you mention, Adobe does a great job of providing educational resources-for free! It seems like I find new stuff in the Adobe "sea" of information everyday. Finding good information is only difficult if you don't know where to look, so I thank you for this article.
As a side note, Adam Flater and I are planning on doing an installment that discusses the various resources I've discovered along the way for our series-"Learning Flex From Scratch". Would you mind if we gave this article a "shout-out" in our post?
You may absolutely mention this article in your post. I'd be interested to hear what resources you've come across.
