iPhoneDevCamp 2 has been announced and will be taking place August 1-3rd in San Francisco at the Adobe Offices.

The event inspired by BarCamp, SuperHappyDevHouse, and MacHack, to develop Cocoa Touch and web based applications for iPhone and iPod touch. This follows the first iPhoneDevCamp held at Adobe Systems in San Francisco, July 2007.

Attendees will include Cocoa Touch developers, web developers, UI designers, and testers, all working together over the weekend. Development projects will include both solo and team efforts. While some attendees will wish to work solo during the event, we encourage attendees to team up, based on expertise, to work in ad-hoc project development teams. All attendees should be prepared to work on a development project during the even.

I'm really looking forward to this event as the first one I attended last summer was phenomenal! There more apps built there in a shorter period of time than I've ever seen at an unconference or probably anywhere else before. As the organizers describe it:

In July 2007, six organizers, a host of volunteers, several dozen sponsors and over 300 attendees came together over a weekend at Adobe in San Francisco for the first ever iPhoneDevCamp, all planned in just 22 days.

Here's the nitty gritty details:

Dates: August 1-3, 2008
Venue: Adobe Systems, 601 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA, 94103

Registration isn't up yet but go add yourself to the upcoming page now if you're planning to attend. You can also follow iPhoneDevCamp on Twitter.
