If you bought Adobe Creative Suite 3, you might recall an extra CD of online video tutorials presented in an application called the Adobe Video Workshop. The application was built in Flex with all of the content graciously provided by the good folks at Lynda.com.
Adobe reports now through the User Interface Resource Center that the online version of Adobe Video Workshop has facilitated over 5 million training sessions. That's a big number. Even without the disk-based users, that's a wildly successful application.
The Adobe Video Workshop was built in Flex by Adobe and EffectiveUI. If you haven't used it yet, cruise on over and check out some of the tutorials. There's a good chance that you'll learn something new.

Hey RJ... quick correction: I don't think all of the content was provided by Lynda.com, however a good 90% of it was. If I recall correctly, there were some other independent training providers and maybe even some internal Adobe folks that contributed content as well.
I do agree with you though... it is awesome to see the Video Workshop as successful as it has been. Aside from it being a nice and simple video playing application, we have to acknowledge the coolest features of the video workshop (in my opinion)
1) Internationalization - By changing the XML data that powers the GUI, the Video Workshop application can change form and render contents in a new language. This is really a great benefit of Flex.
2) One Application that runs in the browser, and off of a DVD build for both MAC and PC. We used the basic Adobe Flash Standalone player to make this happen...
Much credit should be given to Ken Guiberson for doing such a wicked job in leading the engineering of the Adobe Video Workshop application! (and you too!).
