Back in July, the d'bug blog posted a great article up about 5 lessons every web developer should learn. Here's the summary:

  1. You are not always the smartest person in the room.
  2. Experience does count for something.
  3. There is no silver bullet.
  4. The new cool is not always cool.
  5. Not every battle is worth fighting.

Good wisdom for those of us (read: most of us) who are predisposed to let our egos run wild.

Corollary to point A -- if you find yourself in a place where you are the LEAST smart person in the room, apply for a job there immediately.

Hey RJ! I think that's great for everyone in every situation;-)

It's not only for web developers I think, it's for all the developers, testers and every member of community and as Andre said, it is applicable for everyone else as well. Good 5 points though and 2 sensible comments :).
