JavaFX - Call for Questions

Last week's release of the JavaFX Preview SDK brought a lot of buzz from all over the RIA landscape. There was a lot of good information, and many people admitted they still didn't know a great deal about JavaFX.
So, here is your chance. We are going to compile a list of questions from the users here at InsideRIA and then send them on to some members of the JavaFX team. This is your chance to get your questions heard. So, bring on the questions by leaving a comment.

Are the new video capabilities that were demoed at JavaOne (think spinning ball of HD video) going to be available for all of Java, or just for JavaFX?
I've got a couple of questions :
- Which network protocols does JavaFX support ?
- How does JavaFX work together with existing technologies like Silverlight, Flash, Curl etc. ?
I have my question:
1. So the component would be layout in term of script? not xml-based?
2. Do you have support more easier data-binding mechanism like Adobe Flex has?
3. Could it support existing library and framework like Spring?
4. How could we done a animated-application (like Flex)? is it easy?
Thank you for interesting in my question :)
Why - why would I want to use JavaFX over Flex/AIR and/or Silverlight ?
What - what client-to-server protocols are supported (AMF ? Native Java RMI ? SOAP ?)
When - what's the roadmap for v1 and onwards ?
Licence and governance - how is JavaFX managed going forward ?
What about 3D?
What about mobile (eg which devices will be supported, will the mobile API be a subset of JavaFX API or full blown with mobile extra's)?
When realisticly is this going to be released? So far things have moved very slowly.
What will end users need to install? Just an updated JRE or a new runtime?
David,
This "call for questions" is an excellent idea! Please cc: me when you forward the questions to the JavaFX team and I'll collaborate with them in providing answers (if that Josh Marinacci guy will let me). :-0 Hi Josh.
Thanks,
Jim Weaver
@Jim - Certainly!
What's the level of complexity of using JavaFX over FLEX for a decent programmer?
What are the benefits?
Was there any response published to these questions?
