Today, Adobe has officially released Flash Player 10. This new player has added some excellent new features including effects and filters via Pixel Bender technology, 3D objects, dynamic sound generation, new text engine for multiple column layouts and right to left text layouts, and much improved performance.

I would also like to introduce a new application based on Flash Player 10 that I have been working on. FotoBooth is an application that has seen many versions over the years from the web browser with Flex 2, to Apollo, and AIR. It is now again running in the browser and thanks to Pixel Bender technology it has some cool new filters. It also now offers the ability to write a copy of the captured picture to your local drive thanks to the new save() method of the FileReference class.
