I'm going the European max, missing all the fun of SF.

Unfortunately the travel & education part of my budget will go towards buying CS4 Web Premium this year. Maybe is Abode didn't fleece its users every year I'd be able to.

Heck yeah I'm going! Probably only due to the fact that O'Reilly awarded me the ticket (Flex Cook-Off - THANKS!!!!), my company paid for the hotel (Downtown SF Marriot [thanks to Priceline]) and my aunt works for an airline company (so I get to fly for nearly nothing!) Otherwise I'd be left at home, sulking at the thought that I'm missing out on Thermo, Flex 4 & a lot of fun! :D

Nope - I'm not convinced MAX is agnostic enough. Would have liked to have gone to Eclipsecon or possibly Ajaxworld but time and budget

KS said:

Just too expensive for admission, flight, hotel, food, and transportation during the stay for one person to go. My company may pay for it next year, but who knows where the economy will be then?

I just switched jobs, so I'll be missing it this year for the first time since it was Macromedia MAX. Bummer.

My current company doesn't see the point nor do they see the benefit for any developer to be out of their seat longer than a bathroom break. Backward thinking "old Skool" business practices. Yes all the developers are dressed just under having a tie, many do wear one, to keep the "Proffesional attire in the work place".

Trying to get back up to speed with adobe's sprawling platform.

I use Adobe products, but i see no reason to pay for the hype. Especially this much. Especially since the hype will make its way to the rest of us eventually.

Ciao Rich,

I will attend it MAX in San Francisco and will be speaking.

Alessandro

Too far away from Scotland. Give me MAX UK and I'm so there.

WesH said:

Would love to go, but MAX is too expensive for an independent web dev to pay for admission, travel, lodging, etc.

Not convinced it would help my bottom line versus updating software or equipment.

Cant wait - Max puts us ahead of the game every year.

MAX is so expensive, even if I lived in the same part of the same country I couldn't afford to go.
Look at what Scotch On The Rocks can deliver, for instance, for only a few percent of a MAX ticket.

Nope. Too pricey for admission for freelancer like me. Still paying for my CS4 upgrade.
