Last week was Adobe MAX North America, and along with MAX came a stream of product announcements. So, this week I would like to know what announcement will effect you the most in your daily development or design job?

These announcements cover many different areas of development so I would suspect that developers will have a very different answer than designers.

To take part in this poll, please click here.

Could you add this info on this year Max conference?

I think this is very pretty important issue. But most of bloggers in here ignore.

Flash player 10 on Google Phone of Android OS.

Although the mobile flash player is huge, it is not something that was an official announcement but more of a proof of concept.

Would have to vote for serverside Actionscript, but it was more proof f concept. So I guess Ill feel the effects of Flex 4 more because I use it every day

Alchemy. Because I see this as the road to finally get Flex to play nice with PDF. And heck, maybe even PSD files through cross-compiling existing libraries...

What about the Text Layout Framework?

Although it was announced at MAX, it wasn't available on Adobe Labs until last Friday.

It's the first public demo where we've been able to see just how powerful the new text engine in Flash Player 10 really is. This new engine just blows away anything done in a browser previously that wasn't in a PDF and puts Flash text up on a level found in print publishing applications. Which makes sense since it's apparently Adobe's InDesign team that worked on the new text engine.

I'm a hardened developer, but I chose Catalyst. Something that has deeply bothered me about RIA's has been the fiddly, time-consuming-ness of skinning interfaces. Even as a developer, I feel that Catalyst will bring 'revolution' and have more of a significant impact on my work than any other announcement.

... though that doesn't mean I'm not excited about Flex 4 and many of the other announcements. I can't wait.

In years past, I've had many gripes with Adobe and Macromedia over a host of issues. Right now, I feel that Adobe is delivering the goods like never before, from CS4, to Flex 4, to Flash 10 and all the announcements above. Well done Adobe. Good job!

I think there is a huge profit potential for flash developers using tools like Configurator and PatchPanel.

I can sell my own custom tools for photoshop and write them using ActionScript. What a breeze...

btw you also forgot to mention Adobe Wave: http://labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php/Adobe_Wave

Adobe Wave is like a growl notificaton service for web apps, you ping the server and send the client a notification (from what i understand).

I actually think that Wave is a really cool idea...
