FEATURED: Adobe LiveCycle Deployed on EC2
Technologies: LiveCycleAdobe announced this week that they are now making instances of their LiveCycle server deployed on a complete J2EE stack with JBoss available on Amazon EC2. LiveCycle is Adobe's Business Process Management (BPM) solution for the Enterprise. This indicates a major paradigm shift where enterprise-level server platforms are being made available in a 'pay for what you use' model. This expands the traditional reach of LiveCycle to projects that would not have previously considered it. It will be interesting to see what RIA's will be integrated with LiveCycle in the future.

Amazon AWS Gains a Web Console
Technologies: AWS, AjaxWhile there have been Firefox plugins like ElasticFox for working with Amazon Web Services, there has not been an actual web interface for working with services like EC2. That changed this week as Amazon released an Ajax-based control panel that allows the user the ability to manage his EC2 instances. This means that any user with an EC2 account can manage all of their server instances from any computer with a web browser. In the future this will expand to all services offered by AWS.
