Vote for 360 Flex Sessions
Sessions for the ever-popular 360|Flex conference are being chosen a little different this year. You-the-attendees, or at least you-the-internet, has the opportunity to weigh in and vote for the sessions you think sound the best. Conference organizers John Wilker and Tom Ortega will still have the final say in picking the sessions, but hopefully the voice of the people will be heard. Click here for a full list all of the sessions eligible for voting.
I can't help but think of a time just before the Met's opening season last year when voting on the internet insured that the 7th inning stretch turned into a massive rickroll. By opening voting to the internet at large it seems that some level of chicanery and tom foolery is bound to skew the results of honest voters, but hopefully the honesty of the RIA community will keep this to a minimum.
The sessions are being listened anonymously with the idea that they should be voted for on their own merit. With that in mind, I won't follow the trend started by Doug McCune earlier tonight of blogging my session title (boo!!), but I won't say I didn't think about it. And by "think about it", I mean to say that I already posted it to and deleted it from Twitter at least twice.
One session I would like to highlight (and it's not mine) is titled "Integrating Accessibility in an Enterprise-level Flex App". Whether you like it or not, Accessibility is going to be a big deal very, very quickly if Flex is to mature into the enterprise space. As I found out earlier this year the hard way, Accessibility and 508 compliance are wicked hard to implement in Flex. I encourage you to vote for this session and come learn about how to implement it correctly.
I hope to see you all at 360|Flex this year as either a speaker or an attendee. Best of luck to all the speakers during the voting, and remember: just because your session doesn't win in the popular vote doesn't mean Tom and John won't still add you to the list with a few well placed bribes. I've heard Ferrari's work well.

Haha, boo!!
To be honest, I did at least check with John before posting to ask if he wanted to keep things anonymous.
Ha! Sneaky John. I guess we'll all stay friends then. :)
LOL. So yeah This is more a me thing than a Tom and I thing, I know if he reads this I'll hear no end of crowing from him!
This is purely me hoping to get some idea of what everyone is interested in. It's definitely open for gaming, which is sad for sure, and why it's in no way a final decider, Tom and I will always hold final say, just to ensure that while we want the community to be involved we don't want the conference content to be gamed by unscrupulous individuals, etc.
And yeah As if Doug's session was a mystery :D
