ILOG announced the release of Elixir 2.0 this morning. Elixir is the powerful Flex charting framework available through ILOG.

Elixir 2.0 provides several new modules to Flex: a calendar, heat maps, Gantt charts and pivot/OLAP charts. I'm particularly excited about the Gannt charts. I tried to build one of my own sometime last year and found it a much more daunting task than I'd originally imagined.

Elixir 2.0 also fixes a number of small bugs from Elixir 1.0, and pricing remains the same. Upgrades are available to existing users at a discount.

For the full list of details, click on over to the official ILOG Elixir blog.

If you're new to Elixir and either wondering whether or not you need it or what it does, check out the getting started page or demos for more information.

UPDATE: Erwan Paccard from the Elixir team will be giving a live web seminar on the updates this Wednesday. More info here.

Gantt is really spelled Gantt - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gantt :)

Thanks for the pointer to Elixir ...
