In this screencast we take a look at how to use a design file from Adobe Illustrator to create a small gallery widget using Adobe Flash Catalyst. Specifically we will see how Catalyst will let you edit components in Illustrator and bring it back into Catalyst.

Note: This screencast uses a preview release of Adobe Flash Catalyst that was distributed at MAX 2008. It is no longer available to the public and is not a final release. If you were lucky enough to attend a receive the software feel free to follow along with the provided source files.

I've always wanted to know how I would export from Catalyst into Flex? and how much manipulation do I have over these in Flex?

The next screencast I'm working on will take over from here and show how to bring the project into the new Flex Builder (Gumbo).
