I am glad to see that only 6% of our respondents do not have any AIR applications currently installed, which means that 94% have at least 1 AIR application installed. The results show that 57% have between 1-5 AIR applications installed and 23% have over 10 AIR applications installed. To see the full results, please click here.

@tomek I expect many saying "what's an AIR application?" :)

Is that 6% and 94% or 16% and 84%?

Wow, I need to go back to 1st grade. 100 - 6 = 94. :-) I'll fix it.

It's an interesting question for the AIR development community, but I'm puzzled by Adobe's AIR Marketplace (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/marketplace/index.cfm?event=marketplace.home&marketplaceid=1). I can't imagine that notion having an appeal to people who are not already AIR enthusiasts. After all, I never go looking first for a site that distributes MSI or DMG installers, and then shop around for something to install--I'm looking for a solution to a problem or desire, and I'll consider the method of delivery only once I already know the type of software I'm looking for. It's not like there's device lock-in (see iPhone, et al).

(I've had this conversation with a couple people involved in developing the marketplace; I didn't get a sense that the marketing had really been thought through, but that was just my impression.)
