We asked you which frameworks you would like to see discussed at Adobe MAX this year and you responded with Parsley, Mate, Swiz, and Pure MVC as the top frameworks you would like to hear more about. Surprisingly Cairngorm came in fifth in the voting. I can only deduce that one of two things happened. Either most people are already aware of Cairngorm because it has been around for so long now, or people are really interested in learning about new frameworks that they haven't heard about before.

Wow Parsley as the top-voted framework? What a nice surprise!

You seem surprised. I don't.
Maybe because Cairngorm is a pure pain to use.
Maybe because when you have tested Mate and frameworks based on the latest buzz concepts IOC and dependency Injection, you feel much more "enlightened" ... in every meaning of the word "light".

Actually, I am still surprised : those terrible cumulated 27,8 % of interest for PureMVC/Cairngorm. Come on !

There might be a third thing which happened - and I'm deducing from the number of people who pointed out their choice : either there aren't many developers out there who know anything about the subject or if they exist, they didn't care to vote.
If the first presumption is true, the surprise for me is that only 500 developers around the world do know what Parsley (or Cairngorm, or whatever) is. I really doubt, so I'm going with the second presumption.

I'm not saying that Parsley is not good enough to win - actually I'm thinking in terms of "choose suitable framework for your application". Since I've got to this principle, I would like to hear more about case studies to point out the strengths of a particular framework.

deduce...?
You should not speculate, investigate the reason without prejudice...

… or they start to realize that, unlike Cairngorm, there are other frameworks that impose “no JEE patterns on your code, no repetitive folder layouts, and no boilerplate code on your development”.
