Adobe Announces "Flash Platform Services"

Today, Adobe made the announcement of "Flash Platform Services", a suite a services that enable developers to easily create, scale, and monetize their applications. This includes 3 components: Distribution, Collaboration, and Social.

From the Adobe site:

Adobe Flash Platform Services enable developers to add social and collaborative capabilities to applications, while enabling businesses to more easily distribute and monetize their applications. Adobe Flash Platform Services are affordable, scalable, and easily implemented.

The Distribution service enables distribution to social networks, desktops, and mobile devices, with tracking and monetization services. All of which is managed by the "Distribution Manager" AIR application.

The Collaboration service (AFCS) enables quick and easy real-time collaboration capabilities within your applications, including, chat, audio/video chat, file sharing and data messaging. These are development tools and components that make building collaborative applications easier.

The Social service hasn't been released yet, but according to the Flash Platform Services web site, it will "Enable applications to integrate with leading social networks like Facebook and MySpace.".
