Adobe WorkflowLab for Planning RIA Projects

I just happened to browse over to Adobe Labs, and stumbled across WorflowLab, a workflow planning and sharing tool for building applications. It's still in alpha, and is primitive when compared to something like Microsoft Project, although it's easy to use, and can help get you plan and visualize project execution. Oh, and one big difference, WorkflowLab is free. It's basically an interactive/editable Gantt chart.

From the site:

If you answer yes to any of the following questions WorkflowLab is right for you:

How do I start a project I’ve never done before?
What are all the tasks involved in a project?
What are the best practices for specific projects?
Which applications or technologies should I use?
How can I easily share workflow information with others?

It's an AIR application built with Catalyst & Flex 4. For those of you who are involved with planning your RIA project execution, this could be a tool to keep an eye on, so I though I'd share.

The application is targeted at sharing workflow, however I think it would be much more usable as a project planning tool if you could base the entries on actual dates, and if you could import/export it to multiple formats. It will be interesting to see if/how this evolves.

That's so funny: if you 'answer yes to any of the following questions', you will probably not have understood the question, and you will have thrown semantics to the dogs...

How can I easily share workflow information with others?

Aghem...yes.

If you answered 'yes' to any of those questions you are a meat Popsicle.

Anyway... WorkflowLab certainly looks promising! A nice little app, really.

I'm terribly disappointed that I didn't get to be the first to pile on that question. Although I have seen projects where the answer to which applications and technologies to use does seem to be close to "yes".
