Windows 7 will ship this week and from all accounts, it is the best operating system shipped from Microsoft since Windows 2000. Note, this is not my opinion based on the Microsoft's marketing campaign, but my personal experience evaluating the OS as well as the opinions I have gathered from my peers.
This week's poll is targeting existing Windows users. The question is will you upgrade to Windows 7 and when? Please click here to vote.

Got it installed on my iMac, but only to play games. I don't see any real big difference between it and Vista - perhaps other than being slightly 'lighter'.
I'll stick to Mac OS thanks, most of the games I want to play seem to be coming out for Mac these days anyway.
Windows 7 is a huge leap and I can't believe that people are still using XP. I think Vista got a buttload of bad press but most OS systems (Macs included) are a little shaky when they're first released.

XP is good enough for my PC needs. Apple is where I spend my money... and Adobe. Holding my money for the upcoming apple tablet...
but the new 27 inch iMac sure looks good. I don't know if I can resist it.
Windows 7 is Vista with a few changes. Some good, some I really hate.
<rant>First, I want my freaking classic taskbar back. If I wanted a dock I would buy a Mac. I dont want an extra 2-3 mouse movements to pull up the app I want that's already open.</rant>
The performance enhancements are nice, but, from an x64 perspective, I don't see a screaming difference over Vista x64.
Lastly, I had to recover a server this weekend. When I installed I grabbed the Windows Server 2008 R2 disk, instead of the Windows Server 2008 disk. To my surprise, the R2 release is the same UI as Windows 7, furthering my claim that W7 is Vista with slight changes.
Vista got a bad rap. As usual, the sheep believed Vista sucked, claimed they hated it even when they had never used it, and now are ranting about how good Windows 7 is. Roffles. Amazing what a bit of marketing can do.
Interesting how a question on Windows 7 mainly inspires comments on Macs :-) I also cannot participate in the poll since I am running Mac OS X and some Linuxes in my VirtualBox.
i know.. if i say W7 is great... you friends may think, that m putting bigwords about my org.. but its true and very frank opinion is Win 7 is far far better than windows vista.. i personally feel, window vista was really bad experience .. now i can say with windows 7 90% problems are solved..
great feature i love about this.. its bootup time.. very fast...
