In Part 1, I described my interview with Avi Muchnick of the Aviary team. I also described the features in Aviary now as well as some stuff that is coming in the future. Well, to be honest, talking about it is just not enough. I t decided to do a walk through of both Phoenix and Peacock so everyone can see the power of these Flex based applications.

The idea of making use of effects like Yahoo Pipes is pretty cool, but is there a way to group those piped effects? Because on more complicated image it might be a little messy -- pipes and boxes all around the image..

I wonder if they are legal issues with some elements of Phoenix, I mean some icons or concepts are similar to Photoshop...

Hi,

All the above workarounds work fine when u have access to the html wrapper.

I have a slightly different problem, i've made a widget using flex and embedded it in facebook, i need to popout a window from that widget, if the users browser has a popupblocker then my popup would never popout and also the widget would never know that.

Since i dont have access to the facebook html page in which i embed my widget i can use window.open.

First of all, I wish to say that these are the greatest articles I've came across in a long time. seriously, great work.
Having said that, I missing the part of the jBoss deployment. as I read I see that it's not going to be discussed on the next installment, and I don't remember having read that on the previous ones.
am I missing something?
