If you don't follow Lee Brimelow's blog, you should. Lee posted the full Flash Player 10 API on his blog yesterday and has had some great posts on FP10 and how to use it lately. Lee works for Adobe as a Platform Evangelist and seems to be just full of great developer information.

I had the great opportunity on Friday to chat with Mitch Grasso, CEO and co-founder of SlideRocket. Mitch gave me a great deal of insight into the history of SlideRocket, their current development, and where he sees SlideRocket heading in the future. I did my best to get all of the questions answered that you guys requested.

Also, this article includes some invites if you hurry...

In LFFS - 9, we included a "homework" assignment in the form of a non-functioning calculator with the hopes that those new to Flex may learn from attempting to get it to work. After I came up with a solution, it was code-reviewed by Adam, and a few changes were made in order to comply with best practices. We've included the source code for both, but we will be focusing our attention on the revised version as we go through an explanation of the code step by step.

Last week Flash Player 10 beta was released and Lee Brimelow has been a busy man putting 4 great tutorials for you to get started with Flash 10. The first one shows you the basics of how to get the nighty build of the MXMLC compiler and to create Flash 10 content. Lee then jumps into some more advanced tutorials on 3D, dynamic sound generation and local file access.

One of the most popular past posts on my blog adamflater.net has been Static Code Blocks!. Due to the amount of requests for that post I thought this would be a good topic to feature on InsideRIA regarding ActionScript and static code.

Yep, thats right... Google has released a Flash/AS3 API for Google Maps, and yes, it works with Flex. I'm very glad to see the Google Maps team take this step, and provide a supported API for their maps interface.

Ryan Stewart just sent me some information on compiling for the Flashplayer 10 in Flex. You can read the full report here on Adobe's open source site. It involves getting the latest nightly build of Flex 3 and updating your compiler to use the new PlayerGlobal.swc - not too difficult.
