The Google browser is potentially a game changer. They used code from WebKit and possibly Mozilla to create a new browser which users separate processes for tabs rather than sharing a processing space. Google is, of course, bundling Chrome with Google Gears elevating the project profile in the industry. Google is also writing their own JavaScript virtual machine from scratch.
