Google does it again with the "it just works" ( Apple ) mentality. It's hard to tell what the performance of the browser will be on a whole since I feel like the hype machine inherently makes it "feel" faster. It'll be interesting to see what some benchmark testing shows, especially with some other RIA based technologies other than JS.

I love Google Chrome, I even joked about switching to a pc (which I use at work) at home. That thing is so light weight! Javascript is rendering in a jiffy. I disapprove of the name, but adore it's simplicity, it really does its job well. I prefer Gtalk to MSN, anybody that sees that would agree that G-Chrome does its job better than any browser.

A thing to ponder on, is their aims towards RIAs. I see it as a boost for Flex applications, but competes with AIR, you'll notice a drop-down, 'Create application...' on any page, and makes it a standalone application. Works wonderfully on Buzzword.com.

It gives an edge to AJAX, but I feel Flash will eventually outrun it. Because that war between Flex, JavaFX, Silverlight was always there, this browser plas along raising awareness to RIAs while being a browser.
