<p>However, the actual numbers depend upon your application's complexity, the size of data within messages, and multiple other factors.   This paper will be helpful in estimating the load, but you've got to run some tests on your own too.</p>

<p>Keep in mind, this shouldn't be used to plan load for BlazeDS servers, as LCDS has RTMP channels and uses the <a target="_blank" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_I/O">NIO</a> server.   BlazeDS is based on the J2EE servlet container, which limits concurrent connections and scalability.</p>
