New Poll: How many Adobe AIR applications do you have installed?

Adobe AIR (the desktop runtime allowing for the installation of applications built with Adobe Flash, Flex, or HTML) recently had a new addition to its showcase of applications when the NY Times introduced its new online reader application.

So, my question to you this week is simply: How many Adobe AIR applications do you have installed?

It is very possible that you don't know how to answer this question as since AIR applications install seamlessly within the operating system, it is sometime hard to tell which are in fact AIR applications. But, we will ask anyway. Please take part in our poll by clicking here.

Pretty much the only AIR apps I have installed are ones I'm working on or have worked on. I don't have much time to fish around for great apps and install them--I even still tweet through the browser interface.

Hi Rick:

Well I use TweetDeck, Adobe Media Player, Attest and 3 more build on my own (A Telephone Agenda, Digital Clock and SAP TechEd Countdown). But sure looking for more.

I counted, as best I could, and I have about 35 AIR apps installed. And I have 3 that run at startup. I don't know what I'd do without it. Can you image the state of Twitter without AIR apps - ghastly!!! :)

To be totally honest, I have 1--the NYT one. And that's only because I haven't gotten around to uninstalling it. It crashes when I resize the window... which, despite the limited news content, is the main thing I do with it (resize to see the layout rules).

What else is there? I've tested all the twitter clients and STILL think they're less powerful than the web versions (and my own narrow focus apps).

Actually it is very easy to know if you are using an AIR based "application": after launching it, if CPU usage goes over 50% for no apparent reason, then it is an AIR application.

Emanuele, that's funny, I tried out an air app for the tickspot.com time tracking program. I loved it until I realized it was using a crap ton of cpu as soon as I hit record. Their support said they didn't know what was wrong because it was working fine for them. Seems Adobe still has some bugs to work out.

I have plenty of AIR-apps installed, but I use frequently these:
DestroyTwitter, DeMonster Debugger, eBay Desktop, RichFLV, RegExr, Badger, Times Reader.

The only one that I use and haven't uninstalled is TweetDeck. I prefer to still use apps in my browser, given the choice. Oh, I also have NY Times Reader, but I still prefer to use the website version. I'll probably try the NYTimes offline sync next time I catch a train, though, which I think is the killer feature of that.

I have really lost count how many I have installed, I really must have a clean up.

But then I do run RefreshingApps.com, the Adobe AIR showcase and resource site so I see and install a LOT of apps!

I have tons of AIR apps installed on my machine. Facebook, RichFLV, Times Reader, DeMonster Debugger, eBay Desktop, ThunderBolt, DeskTube, LibraryManager, ADC Desktop, AS3 Language Reference, Arthropod, Adobe Media Player, to name a few plus a lot of them yet to be installed. I love AIR.

I have tons of AIR apps installed on my machine. RichFLV, eBay Desktop, Times Reader, DeMonster Debugger, Facebook, Adobe Media Player, AS3 Language Reference, ADC Desktop, ThunderBolt, DeskTube to name a few. Plus, a lot of them yet to be installed. I love AIR.

I use a about 5 regularly but I've tested around 100 of the 270 on my site WindyAppsand I'm working on the rest.
