Well honestly, I spend a ton of my time on project management. I have the ability to do the coding and design, but as a part of my team, I do best with the project management portion. Although, I really do believe we should have someone step in with less qualifications than me, because it's honestly a busy work job.. I'd much rather be hands on with the designing, coding, and development.

But hey, I guess I'm just ranting. I suppose I should just be happy I have a job at all in these hard economic times.. Yikes..

I spend most time on design and then is development.
But now i understand the importance of project managment. hence, i have decided to spend more time on project management now forward.

Most of my time is spent on problem-solving in these areas:

1. how to realise the creative team's dream using the technology available to us. I work for a company that is cautious about adopting/ deploying shiny, new and unproven technologies (which is EXACTLY the kind of tech that catch the creatives' eye)

2. translating the creatives' ideas into a brief/ product spec that devs and designers can use to build.

3. organising and coordinating limited design and development resource.

I used to code all day long, now it's unusual for me to do anything more involved than a bughunt or put in a hokey workaround that only has to last until an actual developer can take a look when something public-facing breaks.

Still enjoy insideRIA though despite the fact I'm no longer hands-on with development.

The lion's share of my time is spent in design/developpment. However, since I'm a one-man operation, I spend alot of time courting clients as well.
