It's important that we distinguish between general RIA vs. Enterprise RIA. There are huge differences. Enterprise RIA has stringent needs on scalability, performance, security, and stateful apps, similar to the client-server applications they use currently. For enterprise RIA, the big business justification is switching over or migrating from client-server applications to a web-based platform. While strong uxp (user experience) is a common theme across all RIA, the enterprise class RIA excludes Ajax (xss attacks, porosity of DOM, slow performance). Silverelight is too new and has very little proof points. Adobe Flex is mostly in the consumer sector and media-rich. That leaves Curl as the only RIA platform deployed at 300 plus enterprises so far.

Hi,
it's interesting the way you phrased your question :
"What type of project do you spend most of you time building?"
rather than
"What type of project are you working on?"
It's like you assume that your readers are independent and work on many projects. RIAs are also starting to be developed in house by employees, though I know this is new.
